Terms of Use

These terms apply to every Scenario Playbooks guide and to the publisher of Scenario Playbooks (the publisher). By purchasing, downloading, or using a playbook, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the playbook.

The playbooks

1. General information only

Scenario Playbooks are general emergency preparedness information for adults. Nothing in them is medical, legal, financial, electrical, firearms, or other professional advice, and nothing in them creates a professional relationship. Talk to a qualified professional about your own situation.

2. Not a prediction

Scenarios, timelines, and historical events describe how outages and emergencies have unfolded and could unfold. They are not forecasts that any event will happen, where, or when. The purpose of every playbook is calm, practical preparation.

3. Emergencies

A playbook does not replace emergency services, official alerts, or instructions from authorities. In an emergency, call 911 and follow local officials, your utility, and your doctor.

4. Manufacturer instructions control

Generators, fuel, heaters, stoves, batteries, chemicals, medical supplies, firearms, and ammunition can cause injury, fire, poisoning, or death if misused. Read and follow every manufacturer's instructions and warnings. Where they differ from a playbook, the manufacturer's instructions control.

5. Your choices and your risk

You decide what to buy and what to do, and you are responsible for your own actions. To the fullest extent allowed by law, you assume all risk from using the information in a playbook or any product it mentions.

6. Products and links

Products are listed for information and convenience. The publisher does not make, sell, warrant, or service them and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any manufacturer or retailer unless stated. Specs, ratings, prices, and availability came from public sources on the date shown and change without notice. Confirm suitability, compatibility, and price before you buy. Any warranty comes only from the seller or manufacturer.

7. No paid links

The publisher does not earn a commission or any other payment from the product links in the playbooks. Products are listed only because they fit the plan.

8. Laws vary

Rules on ammunition, firearms, fuel storage, generators, radio licensing, water collection, and other topics vary under federal, state, and local law. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws where you live. Nothing in a playbook encourages illegal activity.

9. No warranties

Playbooks are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose. Information was believed accurate when written and may become outdated.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the publisher and its owners, members, employees, and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any injury, loss, or damage arising from a playbook, any product it mentions, or any third-party website. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the playbook.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless the publisher and its owners, members, employees, and contributors from claims arising from your use or misuse of the information or products, or from your violation of these terms or the law.

12. License

Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to read and print a playbook for your own household. You may not resell, share, post, or reproduce it, in whole or in part, without written permission. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

Purchases

Digital delivery

Playbooks are digital PDF files. After payment you can download your files right away from your library page. Bookmark that page to download again later.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars at checkout. Launch prices run until the date shown on the site. Playbooks added to an order at checkout are priced as shown on the payment step. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

All-Access

All-Access includes every playbook in the Scenario Playbooks series: the playbooks available on the day you buy, plus each new playbook added to the series afterward, at no extra cost. New playbooks appear in your library as they are released, and we email the address you used at checkout when each one is added. We do not promise a release date or a set number of future playbooks. Files you have downloaded are yours to keep under the license above.

Refunds

All sales are final. Because playbooks are digital files delivered instantly, we do not offer refunds once an order is complete. If a download fails or a file is damaged, contact us within 30 days of purchase through the contact form and we will fix it or send you a working copy. An order that is refunded or charged back no longer has access to its library or downloads.

Email list

When you sign up for a free download, ask to be notified about a playbook, or start checkout, you agree to receive emails from Scenario Playbooks about playbooks, gear, updates, and offers. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can unsubscribe anytime.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and changes apply from that date forward.
